Keep enough supplies in your home to meet your needs for at least 3 days. Assemble these supplies which you might need in the case of emergency. Store them in and easy-to-carry container such as a backpack, duffle bag or trash containers.


Survival Materials


Water


A 3 to 7 day supply of water one gallon per person per day. Store water in sealed , unbreakable containers such as plastic bottles. Mark containers with storage date and replenish every 6 months.


Food


A 3 to 7 day supply of non-perishable packaged or canned food and a non-electric can opener.

First Aid Kit


A first aid kit that contains a two week supply of your family's percription medications. A few of the supplies in a common first aid kit are bandages, antiseptic, tape, compress and a non aspirin pain reliever. First aid kits can be purchased tax-free.

A portable battery powered FM radio, flashlights, batteries and other emergency tools.

Gas stations may run out of fuel, ice may not be available and bank ATM's may not have power

Cash, with no power, banks may be closed, checks and credit cards unaccepted and ATM's may not be operational.
